Welcome. Finding a match in therapy isn’t as simple as a web search; so please feel free to call me to
discuss your particular interest in therapy. We may end up scheduling an initial session, or I can offer you referrals to other
therapists. As a start, here’s some basic information about me and my training.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist (MFT) whose specialty is helping people improve their relationships. I believe that we all aspire to have deep, loving
connections in our lives. I will help you to remove hurdles that may be impeding such connections in your life. Often, among these
hurdles may be unhealed childhood experiences, baggage from previous relationships, and dysfunctional relating styles. Becoming
more clear on what you have inherited from your family and what you developed as coping mechanisms will be the first step in
aligning with your authentic self.
Our work together will draw from conversation, books, and sometimes even "homework." I'll meet you where you are, and use
different tools to help you first gain a deeper understanding of yourself and then practice new behaviors to lead you in the
direction you choose.
I am particularly strong with adolescent and young adult issues. In addition, I'm a certified trauma/ sexual assault
counselor.
